The Wedding of Lesley and Gareth Brown

on Thursday, 28 December 2006

Lesley was introduced to us through Helen (the wedding we had done in Dunkeld) and one evening, we took a drive out to Dunblane to meet up with Gareth, Lesley and little Ellie. And what a treat it was as we seriously thought we had just met two top models – a delight for any photographer.

Lesley and Gareth had a nice Irish twist to their wedding and we thought “The Corrs” had been invited because we had truly never seen so many good-looking people in one room. What a day it was – the Stirling Highland served as backdrop for this wedding with it old stone walls and although the light was fading fast on the day, the smiles of all the family and friends brightened up the setting. Not only was the bride a picture to behold, but Ellie, Lesley and Gareth’s little girl looked simply lovely in her white dress and ballet shoes. The wedding cake was not only a tribute to their day but also to Ellie’s first birthday with a teddy bear’s picnic cake at the top and the wedding cake at the bottom.

This day was filled with so much happiness and humour that we can only say that being in the company of so many Irish folk can certainly put a smile on one’s face and make the day working furiously so much more relaxed.

Lesley, Gareth and Ellie – your wedding was great and your pictures are simply stunning, even if we do say so ourselves (ha! ha) - thank-you for making this job so enjoyable

The Wedding of Lauren and Andy Sweeney

Aberdour Castle with it's resident ghost Margaret and scenic and historic backdrop provided the perfect setting for the wedding of Lauren and Andy. Not even the howling winds, periods of torrential Scottish rain and freezing cold could spoil the magic of the day. We were fortunate enough to get a few brief moments of sunshine in between to capture some of the wedding images. Both Lauren and Andy were fantastic and braved the cold to do all that was necessary to get those much needed pics . Andy looked fantastic in his kilt and Lauren was a vision in white with deep ruby red and purple accessories. She looked serene and beautiful and the pictures captured the warmth and depth of these magnificent colours.

Following the drinks reception in the courtyard, the wedding party headed to the Woodside Hotel, a few hundred yards from the castle to celebrate the rest of the day. The Woodside ensured that Andy and Lauren had a day to remember with fantastic food, great music and the bringing together of family and friends to celebrate the marriage of two magic people. Andy and Lauren – thanks for letting us capture your big day, guys, it was an absolute pleasure!

The Wedding of Helen and Rog Jeffrey

Helen and Rog chose the beautiful Dunkeld House Hotel as the perfect setting for their big day. Helen arrived looking very excited and could not drop the cheeky grin from her face. Rog, on the other hand, looked confident and filled with pride each time he looked at Helen. The weather was as challenging as only the Scottish weather can be, but overall nothing could dampen the spirits of the bride, groom and their guests.

Close family attended this great day in order to honour the very special union of Helen and Rog and the pictures we took captured the Helen and Rog we had come to know and love. What a spectacular couple who had good fun in the rain and down at the river – although we did have to stop Rog from trying to kiss Helen too many times – there are only so many side pics a photographer can take…..(ha! ha!).

Helen was the perfect bride, smiling beautifully for the camera and looking very elegant in pale lilac and Rog looked very dapper in his pink shirt (not sure he will be happy that we mention this but he looked very dashing indeed). From a few raindrops to some sunny skies we captured many beautiful and memorable shots and want to thank both Helen and Rog for a fabulous day. We felt privileged to be part of it…..

The Wedding of Helen and Stuart Lawson

Nothing could have prepared us for the wedding of Helen and Stuart after only knowing a week or so before the event that we would be taking their wedding pictures and what a delight it was for us both.

Helen and Stuarts wedding in Oban was beautiful with the most memorable sunny skies we have ever experienced since moving to Scotland. It felt like a day on the French Riviera and Helen and Stuart’s wedding added to the glamour. With blue skies, sun reflecting across the water and the bride looking radiant and happy, we were able to take some unbelievable pictures. Helen was such a relaxed bride and had great fun getting ready in the morning – although it was a sweltering day and we had her and her bridesmaids standing in the sun for what felt like ages.

We were the only ones that seemed to be breaking out in sweat…..running from the brides family home to the church and then to the reception venue. It was hard work but worth every minute and Helen and Stuart posed naturally throughout. What a stunning couple and who could forget Stuart’s song to his bride when she entered the church nor the wonderful wedding cake that highlighted their love of travelling. Helen and Stuart, thank-you for believing in us and for letting us share a truly magic day with you both!
